Photographs of the south and southeast coast in the late eighties/early nineties. From Clacton-on-Sea to Weymouth, with a short spin around the Isle of Wight.
In the late eighties I was at the beginning of a design career that was to be marked by periods of casual redundancy. A couple of years earlier I'd bought a Canon A1 with money earned from skivvying at a military dental school, and with a bit extra knocked off using my sister’s generous staff discount at Boots. With free time, no real responsibilities to anyone and a Mk1 Ford Fiesta I was off. Off to Clacton.
Designed and self-published to coincide with the Turner Contemporary touring exhibition, Seaside Photographed, which includes three of these images.
